Steve Jobs: Passed Away (1955-2011) RIP!

Steve Jobs. A great Visionary. A great Human, passed away. He was just 56. However, even living a relatively young age he changed the way we used to look at technology.

Steve, at the age of 20 started building gadgets, computers in his garage with his great friend Steve Wozniak. In 1984, he revealed the first personal computer the Macintosh. It was the best personal computer of that time.

Steve Jobs went through hard times as well. He was born to an unmarried mother. His biological mother wanted a girl so they gave him up for adoption. He was then adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs. They too weren't graduated from college and they promised Steve's biological mother that they would make Steve get the best education.

However, Steve dropped out from college because he just cant afford the salary. He used to sell 50c bottles and would walk all the way to a temple every Sunday to get the best meal.

In, 1984 Jobs and Woz, released Macintosh. Jobs was only 29. He later grabbed some loan and started Apple with over 4000 employees. He loved it. However, Steve was fired from one of he own colleagues. After that Steve made Next and Pixar and started producing movies such as Toy Story.

Later on Apple bought Next and he was back again in his own company, Apple. He became the CEO and from that onwards Steve started creating one of the best Mac computers, iPods and made Apple the best in consumer electronics.

In 2004, Steve was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which 7 years later claimed his life.

Steve Jobs is my role model. He was really hard working and an inspirational figure for me. In 2007, steve announced the revolutionary iphone which changed the way we looked at smartphones. Apple's youngest business iPad is it's most successful business. iPad is one of the most revolutionary and magical product. Notebooks like MacBook Airs, Pro are the most advanced and powerful laptops available running on Mac operating system (OS X Lion) which is already years ahead.

Thanks Steve for everything. You are the best. You will be missed alot!

Titles says it all. Apple will be holding its media event as expected on 4th of October. Great!!! AllthingsD once again has been accurate. So were are going to see the iphone 5, iOS 5 and iCloud.

The event is going to be held at Cupertino Campus at 10 a.m PDT/1 p.m  EDT

Apple Media event on October 4?

In June Apple decided to release the Mac OS X lion, iCloud and iOS 5. Lion was released the very next month however the iOS 5 is still in the waiting list. However,just recently a news came from the allthingsd.com (all things digital) telling that Apple might be holding a media event on 4th of October. 

Apple will also be announcing the much anticipated iPhone 5, and may reveal the new ipod lineup along with the iOS 5 and iCloud. Similarly, Apple yesterday reset all the developer's iTunes match's library. Allthingsdigital has been known to be quite accurate in the past. Lets see if they are right this time.

How to fix error "3194" when restoring or downgrading your iDevice.

When you jailbreak your iOS device and want to restore it back or you were just downgrading your device, you might get this error”3194’. Actually this error occurs when you wanted to restore your device to an older version of OS. In my case I was restoring my jailbroken device to iOS 4.3.3,when the new version iOS 4.3.5 was out. The error occurred because I was restoring my device to an older version and also that iOS 4.3.5 was out so apple had stopped signing this version.

I wanted to go with OS because I had that software copy on my desktop and I really didn’t want to download the new OS. When I first saw this error I was scared to death. However, after googling this topic I noticed that it was quite common.

The Solution:

The solution to this problem is just by going to your host file.

Note: open the notepad as administrator and then from the file menu open the host file. Like this you can edit the file. Also back up your idevice first. 

Go and scroll down and at the end write: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

Now save the host file before closing the notepad. Now get your ipod touch into the recovery mode. Its quite easy. Just turn off the device and then press the home button. Keep pressing the home button while you connect your device to the computer. Now you itunes with recognize your device and it will prompt you to do a restore. Go and press shift or option key if you are on a mac and click restore. There select your OS and press restore. You are done. It will restore your device to the factory setting and then after the restoring is done it will ask you if you want to set it up as a new device or restore it from a backup. Select restore it from the recent backup.

The back up takes time depending on your apps and media files. And you are done and enjoy your restored device.

How to jailbreak and install installous on your ipod touch, iphone and ipad running on iOS 4.3.3?

Even though the jailbreak for this OS is out for many months I thought to do a post on this. Firstly, make sure that your idevice is running on ios 4.3.3. Then in your safari browser go to jailbreakme.com. There you will see an interface similar to app store. Go ahead and download Cydia. And your ipod touch is jailbroken.

Now lets download installous from where you can get app for free. Firstly, in Cydia go to manage in the lower right corner. Then click resources and then tap edit. On the top left you will see a button named as”Add”. Tap on it and then write”cydia.hackulo.us/” Then wait for the packages to download and install. Then press return to cydia and tap on hackulo.us and in there search for installous 4 or any other version of installous. That’s it. 

You are done. Installous will download and then return to your homescreen and you will find installous app.

Now you can go and illegally download paid applications. Enjoy your jailbroken device!!
