WordPress vs Tumblr vs Blogger/BlogSpot

Suprisngly this is a really HOT topic. There were many reviews on these platforms so i thought to make one too.
I have used all the three platforms and to be honest each one of them has its ups and downs.

Wordpress:

Firstly, there are two wordpress. Wordpress.com and WordPress.org. The WordPress.com is a free blogging platform which many of us starts from. Lets go over its bad point first and then its good points so that we leave on a positive note.

CONs:
Beginner are always gonna go for Wordpress.com. It is a free blogging platform. The cons are that you dont get flexibility. You cant edit the HTML themes. You cannot put Ads. So in wordpress.com you are pretty much limited to what you are given. That is the number one reason why I left WordPress.

However, wordpress.org is a beautiful platform and you cannot go wrong with it. Its a powerful platform and you are allowed to use millions of Plugins. In wordpress.com you cannot download plugins etc. So thats what i find wrong with Wordpress.com, its free but LIMITED.

PRONS.
The number one reason why you would like to stay in wordpress is because of the themes. They have got a great selection of professional themes. There is also a good application of wordpress.com for iphone, iPod Touch and iPad.

Tumblr:

Tumblr to be short is better for photo sharing. Yes, that is correct. Tumblr is more of like photo blogging.

CONS.
firstly, its a little difficult to integrate it with google programmes such as Adsense and Google Webmaster Tools(Creating sitemap). Well these are the things which i found difficult to do. Creating a Sitemap and connecting it to Google Webmaster Tools was slightly difficult for a beginner.

PRONS.
You can bring changes to the theme, unlike Wordpress.com. Secondly, the themes are also professional and good looking. Photo sharing can be easily done. There is also an app of Tumblr for iphone, ipod touch and iPad.   At the end of the day Tumblr can be used more for photo sharing and thats what people mostly use it for.

Blogger/BlogSpot:

Blogger is what I am using right now. And yes i think blogger is amazing. WHY?

CONS:
The major CON of Blogger is that you dont get an official app of BlogSpot for iOS Devices like you get with wordpress and Tumblr. This is my only CON for this blogging platform. Instead, i have to use Mail to Blogger  option which i am not a huge fan of.

PRONS.
There are alot of positive points about Blogger/BlogSpot. Firstly great themes. Secondly, great integration with Google Programmes such as Adsense. Thirdly love the Gadgets which spice up your website. For example Tweet Updater. You can easily design and tweak your layout by dragging and dropping. Most importantly you can edit HTML of themes too.

CONCLUSION:
If you blog alot in text like writing in-depth product reviews then wordpress or BLOGGER is best for you. If you are more of photo sharing kind of person who wants to upload and share their pictures on internet then Tumblr is for you.
