Its been exactly a year now since the ipod touch 4g was released. Now its 7 September 2011 and we are still waiting for the new ipods. However I thought to give you guys my overview or my review of this product after a year.
Firstly, I didn’t get this ipod, the day it was release so to be honest its not a year!! However, without further due lets get started.
The model which I got had 8 gb of capacity however it also comes in 32gb and 64gb storage capacities. I decided to go with 8Gb because I was eager to get this and really couldn’t wait anymore. So I was impatient. Secondly, 8GB is fine for me as I don’t watch so many movies on my ipod.
I personally love the slimness of this device. This ipod is just razor thin. However I am not happy with the back. Its chromatic and is a fingerprint and scratch magnet. So I would really like if apple can use some other material for the back such as the one used in iPhone. Black color looks sexy and professional, amazing for watching movies and youtube videos.
The fourth gen ipod also features cameras, two of them. The back camera shoots at 720p HD while the front camera shoots at VGA quality. The picture quality of the cameras is decent not perfect. The back camera is 0.7MegaPixel while the camera found on the iphone is 5MegaPixels. I really want apple to put a 5Mp camera on the 5th gen iPod however in good lightening the cameras perform very well indeed.
Display on this iPod is speechless. Amazing, spectacular, beautiful etc. The new retina display on the iPod touch is magnificent. I love to play games, browse internet on this crystal clear display. The resolution of this screen is 960x640. However, its does not feature IPS technology which can be found on iPhone 4 meaning that if someone see the screen at an angel a bluish tint will appear. However, on iPhone 4 from almost any angle you want to hold the phone you will still get a brilliant picture.
I love this device. It’s a beautiful , slim and magical. The OS is brilliant with thousands of apps available. I like this device a lot and I am sure the fifth generation will be a huge success just like this one.
